Adsense Recommendations: Replace Ad units

Today, when I logged in to check my revenue from Google Adsense, there was a notification on dashboard. It was actually a recommendation to change a smaller ad unit to a larger one. It was suggested with optimist of increased revenue by up to 45 %.

I remember few month ago there was a suggestion to replace 200-250 pixel wide ads with 300 pixel wide ads. After a thought, I made required changes in theme and had accommodated that and it really worked. However, this time as the recommendations says replacing a 468 pixel wide ad with a 728 one would be a bit harder to adjust.

Let’s see if I can incorporate this one too in the current theme with some effort Smile

Increasing the Online Earning Through Google Adsense

The Google Adsense Reports Home was showing notification to change one of my smaller Adsense Ad Unit to into a larger one. It is being claimed that If I replace the 250 x 250 ad with 300 x 250 ad there would be 25-30 % guaranteed increase in Revenue.

So, after a week of thought I decided to take heed of the notiification and clicked on create now and created the ad unit of 300×250 size. As I put the old 250×250 square ad in my side bar that was fitting there nicely, now I was required to change the width of the sidebar, which I did without any hassle. Thanks to creator of the Graphene theme for wordpress. I just dragged the slider so that side bar width shows to 320 px, saved and it was done. the last thing was to replace the code in the sidebar text widget.
